We'd like to share with you some history about Señor Buddy's. Six years ago, siblings Jorge and Julie Garcia purchased Buddy's Convenience Store. Part of the Garcia Family, who is behind the award winning Curra's Grill Restaurant in South Austin , Jorge and Julie wanted to create a place that was more than just a gas station/store. Buddy's Convenience Store was a simple gas station that had been in the Oak Hill area for approximately 30 years. Simple that is, until the dynamic Garcia duo bought the store with a vision to transform it to a live music venue with great food and drinks for people to enjoy! Buddy's was soon renamed "Señor Buddy's" and the transformation process began. Texaco gas is still available for you to fill up your vehicle. The front of the store may look the same as Buddy's, but one just needs to step in to realize that Señor Buddy's has taken over. Gone is the "simple" selection of drinks. Señor Buddy's now offers a great variety of fine wines, carefully chosen to suit a range of plates, and a great selection of beer to choose from. The smell of freshly brewed Curra's exclusive Oaxacan coffee along with the aroma of the ever popular mouth-watering breakfast tacos now fills the store every morning.
Since the time the Garcia family has taken ownership of Buddy's, the transformation has been in the works. Slowly, the Garcias have thought out and planned every stage of Señor Buddy's creation. The backyard is meant to create a welcoming atmosphere for all who walk in. The beautiful trees in the courtyard offer plenty of shade from the Texas sun and there are plenty of tables in the beer garden to accommodate any size group. Activities for everyone will keep you coming back. When it comes to creating authentic menu ideas in the kitchen, the Garcia family never disappoints! Señor Buddy's menu includes interior-style Mexican food as well as an assortment of sandwiches, salads and an array of burger that will definitely please everyone. Señor Buddy's will soon become your favorite home away from home! With its excellent location, easy parking, and fabulous food, you won?t want to leave.
